Seek Electronic Player Piano Recommendations
By Tony Pignaloni

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for an electronic piano.
It's getting expensive moving the pianos every time I have to move.
Can someone recommend an authentic sounding keyboard with an authentic
piano touch to it? Also I'm thinking of something MIDI capable --
something where hopefully I can pull MIDI files off the 'Net somewhere
and also have it act like a player piano.

Thanks.

[ One our MMD "regulars" is a piano dealer who rents pianos for
[ stage use. He said the Yamaha P-200 was in high demand even though
[ it was an older model. It sounds very good, has nice weighted keys,
[ and MIDI output as well as loudspeakers and audio output. It has
[ a full 88-note keyboard and is portable (but heavy). It looks like
[ a band instrument, not like a piece of furniture. I picked one up
[ on eBay for about $750 a few years ago. I was not disappointed.
 [
[ Some of the electronic grand pianos that look like short-harp acoustic
[ grands have amazing audio and even more realistic keyboards. I'd be
[ curious to know what our subscribers will advise today.
