CD Imhof & Mukle Orchestrion at Kinloch Castle
By Brian Smith

MMDers, if you have a desire to hear an Imhof & Mukle orchestrion in
its glory, I want to recommend this CD, "The Unique Sounds of the
Orchestrion from Kinloch Castle, Isle of Rum." Thomas Grace let me
know of this CD around seven years ago because of my love for Welte
orchestrions. I ordered it from Britain.

The Imhof & Mukle at Kinloch Castle has a wonderful sound all its own.
The reeds are beautiful; they're probably difficult to keep in tune
with the instrument at sea level, consequently most YouTube videos of
this instrument are out-of-tune.

I highly recommend this CD. I'm not sure where you can order this from
currently, but do a search online; it should be available somewhere.

Cheers,
Brian Smith
