Kimball Electric Roll Motor Overheating
By Mark Reinhart

I noticed the electric roll drive motor on a Kimball player running
hotter than suits my comfort. Has anyone else observed these motors
running hot? After playing two or three rolls the motor is extremely
hot to the touch. The bearings run free and there is no binding in
the gears since everything was lubricated. Still the motor runs hotter
than I think it should.
