Moving a Player Piano to Colorado
By Stephen Zakaluk

Annalisa, I have no specific advice on moving the piano. When we
moved our 1912 Armstrong from New York City to Falcon, Colorado, in
1986 it was done by a commercial moving company (Mayflower), and no
special provisions were followed other than securing it to the van.

However, I definitely recommend you make sure your new home has a good
central humidifier, for the sake of the piano as well as the family's
health. Without a humidifier, the very dry air here will likely cause
problems with the mechanism, and damage the wood. If possible, its new
location should be on an inside wall, for better temperature stability.
