MMD Technical Problems

Publisher's Note:   We are dealing with two problems right now that
have not yet been fully resolved.

1) Verizon is rejecting all mmdigest.com mail right now.  That's effecting
   49 subscribers.   We apologize to those subscribers, but, of course,
   unless these subscribers see this message on the website they won't
   get the apology :-(      I've been trying to negotiate with Verizon
   to "whitelist" us, but I've hit a brick wall so far.

   If you are one of the Verizon subscribers you have two options right
   now: a) read the Digest on the MMD Website or, b) e-mail us with a
   change of address request.  I strongly recommend using a Gmail account
   rather than one of the other free services for delivery reliability.

2) The PC that I do most of my work on has had a hard drive failure.  The
   good news is that I use a "cloud backup service" and it looks like most
   of the lost files will be back on my new hard drive in about 11 hours.
   I will probably write about the experience when I'm done.   I suspect
   that many of you are exposed to the same risk.
