Passing of Trebor Tichenor, Ragtime Historian
By Ray Bauer

Bryan Cather writes in 140225 MMDigest, "In a field peopled by
extroverts happily one-upping another, Trebor was just the opposite:
quiet, unassuming, shy, kindly, generous."

Quite true as I observed him at the West Coast Ragtime Festivals in
the musicians' lounge during our playing breaks. Trebor was always
quiet and low-key; you almost had to "pry" information from him.
Expressing my deep condolences via MMD to daughter, Virginia, and
son-in-law, Marty Eggers.
