Shelving for An Old Piano Roll Cabinet
By Allen Ford

Hi All, I did not have my thinking cap on when I sent the first
information regarding an equation to determine shelving thickness as
a function of span and depth [140703 MMDigest]. I apologize for any
problems I may have caused. The equation should have been as follows:

  C = (850)/(inches) = [(s)x(s)]/[(d)x(t)x(t)]

  where s is the span in inches, d is the depth of the shelf in
inches and t is the thickness of the shelf in inches. The original
Ampico shelf was 16.5 inch span, 8 inches deep and 0.2 inches thick.

Again I apologize for my arrogance of trying to do something too
quickly with out putting full effort into it. I thank God I could
correct this before I was called out for my errant ways.

Sincerely,

Allen Ford
