Attachment thumbnail The melody sounds more like a traditional German half-march than modern US-American. In my personal computer registry of twelve thousand tunes on around one hundred thousand music box and organette discs, I find only two "Missouri" tunes: 1. on 11 cm (4") 0654 Edelweiss/Thorens/Reuge: "Au bord du Missouri" (by the Missouri). Unfortunately they never wrote any composer's names, and I have not found where to listen to it. 2. It is evidently not cob 251, "Missouri Waltz" ("When I was a piccaninny"), by K. W. Logan, which I often sing to QRS Word Roll: http://cobs.rollerorgans.com/data/media/midi/1251.mid Greetings from Sweden, Roland von Malmborg Saltsjöbaden, Sweden [ A thoughtful article about the origin of "Missouri Waltz", the [ American pop song by Logan, published by Forster Music, is at [ http://archive.fiddlesessions.com/dec06/Marshall.pdf -- Robbie
