Overpriced & Empty Player Pianos Offered
By Luke Myers

A lot of persons out there offer their intact or empty player
piano for the price of what a restored player piano might sell for.
A while ago someone in our local Craigslist was selling one for $2500
That didn't even have the player action anymore and it wasn't even
tuned. On the other hand, you can get several fine, fully restored
player pianos, a lot of them in the Eastern States.

Reproducing player pianos can indeed be found at low prices, as this
Craigslist ad shows:

Anyway, I have seen enough examples of this, to know what to watch out
for. Don't get the player piano if it doesn't meet the criteria in
Art Reblitz's book.
