In Mechanical Music Digest 16.12.06 Stephanie Koppmann asked about
the loose crank handle on her Lador musical Christmas tree stand.
Robbie is correct that the coil wire around the winding shaft, which
acts as a brake, is broken.  Here are photos showing what it should
look like; the end of the coil of wire is hooked into the plate on
the outside edge.
