Thank you, Clay Musser, for the nice words!  Very much appreciated.
The book was a true team effort.  My field work was helped by just
about everyone prominent in mechanical music -- dealers, collectors,
Terry Smythe of AMICA, the late Evelyn Mishkin, and many others.

"Grand Patrons", as they were called, contributed to the financing of
the book.  It not only was challenging to create, but it was rewarding
to interact with some of the finest people in the world.
