Reed Organ Reed Puller
By David Dewey

Phil Jamison wrote, "My favorite reed puller is a fairly heavy
steel wire wrapped around the middle of a 5/8" diameter wood dowel.
The wire extends about 5 inches and has a small 90-degree bend at
the end (tapped flat). Wrapping your fingers around the dowel
produces good leverage."

That describes the same puller I have. I think I bought it from
Tuner's Supply Company in the mid-late 1970s and I still use it.
There is a chance I got it from Player Piano Co., too. My only
complaint with a paint can opener is they're too short!
