Attachment thumbnail A player-piano doesn't seem like the correct instrument for a tune which was probably composed for pan-pipes or a simple harp, but I thought it might be appropriate for a Berlin-style crank organ with transverse flute ("piccolo") pipes. I followed his link, then a link to sheet music for the tune. I used Photo-Score Lite on it to create a MIDI file, and with a 1-semi-tone transposition I found it fits the 20-note Carl Frei scale without a problem. There was a drum track as well, which I included, but of course this will not play on the normal 20er organ. With a simple substitution, it will fit our 20-note OSI organ with added percussion. I could easily do an adaptation for Wurlitzer band organs, but it's a melody-only composition. I have forwarded two versions of the MIDI files to MMD. It's a great tune to have on hand if I am invited to an early history re-enactment rally in Syria!
