New Zealand Photoplayer Restoration Progress
By Don Paynter

Hi MMD Readers, The New Zealand Photoplayer is now at an exciting stage
for us. The percussion case is all complete and we have been listening
to the piano playing along with the bells, xylophone, chimes, and drums
triangle and all the other instruments.

In June, at the AGM of the Photoplayer Restoration Trust, Kevin turned
on for the first time three ranks of pipes: the Trumpets, Violin, and
Flute.

The bass chest that holds the Cello and Bass Flutes is assembled
but not installed. All the carvings for the front case, apart from
the pillars, have been finished and the swell are ready for assembly.
We aren't there yet but we're getting closer every day.

Regards,
Don Paynter
