Unknown "P" Piano Roll Is "Playrite"
By John Rutoskey

The unidentified roll with the red "P" on the leader tab is a 1920s
"Playrite" (not to be confused with the modern-day "Play-Rite" roll
cutting firm). These rolls feature great arrangements in general,
especially by Armand Muth, who played most of the fox-trots you'll
find on this label. I always try to get any "Playrite" Armand Muth
rolls when I see them.
