By Joel Shprentz

Ian Dickinson demonstrates his 20-note busker organ, similar to the
John Smith design, in a Computerphile interview posted to YouTube:

He wrote a program to convert MIDI files to SVG vector graphic files. The laser cutter is only 1.2 meters wide, so he spliced together several pieces to make each roll. The interview was conducted last weekend among the tents at EMF2018, the Electromagnetic Field camping festival held in Eastnor, UK. Over 2,000 hackers, artists, geeks, crafters, scientists, and engineers attended the three-day event, see https://www.emfcamp.org/ Joel Shprentz [ Ian Dickerson's piano roll perforator is shown in his video at [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8ManoX9mUs
