Ampico Accompaniment Roll "O mio babbino caro"
By Adam Aceto

Puccini's published full score and vocal score of "O mio babbino
caro" both indicate "Andantino ingenuo" with eighth note MM=120
at rehearsal mark 40, where the song appears.

I don't own a copy of the roll, but with a melody of mostly
eighth-notes and set in 6/8 time, it should be fairly easy to
figure out what the "authentic" piano roll Tempo [paper speed]
should be by using a metronome.

[ In MMDigest, the capitalized word "Tempo" means the setting of the
[ player action Tempo lever that adjusts the speed of the take-up
[ spool. "Tempo" in a player piano is defined as 10 times the initial
[ paper velocity in feet-per-minute, thus "Tempo 80" is the initial
[ paper speed of 8 feet-per-minute.
