QRS Piano Roll Paper History
By Claud Cavnar

Do we have an index that lists the kind of paper and it's years of
usage by QRS (and maybe box style), starting with approximately the
QRS red box rolls?

The old QRS red box rolls seemed to have two different styles of paper.
The older version felt more like real paper and then they switched to
an opaque style where the printed information slowly disappears.

I'm sorry, but I don't have a technical description of the paper.
I tend to think in functional terms, like "good word readability white
paper but easily torn" (seems to be similar for both QRS & Aeolian).

Then -- also in the QRS red boxes -- there was the opaque and lousy
readability paper, followed by various shades of yellowish and brownish
paper, some with smaller punch holes that an older player with a couple
air leaks can't keep up with. . . And so on.

I did try a stroll through the MMD Archives but I can get lost there
pretty quick.

Thanks again!
