Connecting a Computer to a Player Piano
By James Senior

Could anybody give me some advice about linking a computer to a Player
Piano? I have no problems with how to make MIDI files from my digital
piano, or how to activate the pneumatics using solenoids, but what is
physically needed to go in-between the solenoids and the computer?

Also thank you to everyone that has given me advice with regards to my
Hupfeld Solophonola. The damage to it was unbelievable but I've almost
finished the stack now. Unfortunately, university work called, and
exams are almost as important as our hobby!

Does anyone have a picture of how the music stand attaches to a Roenisch
Grand? At the moment there are two vertical pins that fit into holes,
but there are also screw holes in the back of the stand, and the spool
box cover. Could there have been linking arms?

Many thanks,
James Senior
