This is pretty much my first time using E-mail, so be patient.

I rebuild player and reproducing pianos.  Over the years I have probably done
close to 50.  At one point back in the 70's I did it full-time for a living.
But that lasted only about 2 years.

I am presently rebuilding a Duo Art, in an Aeolian piano.  I plan to keep
this piano.  I once had a Duo Art in a Steck grand, but it was destroyed by
fire when my house burned down in the early 80's.  I lost 5 pianos in the
fire.  The Duo Art that I am rebuilding now is the first piano I have touched
in about 10 years so I am doing it slowly. I find that having been away from
that kind of work for all those years has caused me to be not quite so sure
of myself.  When the Duo Art is finished, I will be doing an Ampico and a
Recordo, both of which I have in storage.

I have also rebuilt several reed organs.

I do not play the piano.  But it is one of my favorite instruments.  Music is
a very big part of my life.

As I stated in the beginning, this is really my first encounter with E-mail
and it is very exciting to find that I have so quickly hooked up with others
who rebuild.  It is amazing and exciting.
