Re: Making new music box cylinders
By Larry Smith

Jody asked me about raising the list's visibility on the net, and
I sent back a few ideas, including contact information to have us
put on the Internet list of lists. I also suggested a FAQ file
be put together. This could be posted from time to time on the
news.answers groups and in misc.antiques and rec.music.misc groups
which might catch an enthusiast who otherwise could miss us. I
might take a crack at putting this together if no one else is, but
by way of opening up the topic I thought I'd ask what people would
like to see in the FAQ. I figure a very basic intro into the idea
of mechanical music, perhaps an overview of the history, an explan-
ation of the differences between various types of automatic musical
devices, and so on, would be a good start. Any other ideas?

regards,
Larry Smith
