RE: Leather Source
By Matthew Caulfield

A.B. Bonds inquired about a source for white hinge (?) leather a
few digests ago. I tried unsuccessfully to reply privately to
his Email address. So her it goes publicly in the hope that he
will see it.

The Leather Supply House, 412 W. Marion Street, Soujth Bend, IN
46601 (phone 219-234-8990) stocks various kinds of hard-to-find
leather and will send you a nice sample sheet with 20 samples of
its wares. Marilyn, the woman who runs it, offers zephir skin in
3 weights, German tan pouch leather in 3 weights, cowhide for
bellows, also kangaroo (excellent for band organ pumps but hard
to get), deerskin, cabretta, goat, packing and gusset leathers,
hair sheep--it looks like the works in chrome-tanned leathers.
She ships within 24 hours on open account and has an answering
machine for 24-hour a day service.

[ Editor's Note: This is good general information. I'm happy
[ for it to be out where everyone can see it. I haven't received
[ any bounces recently for digests sent to A.B.Bond's account so
[ I can't comment on what went wrong.
[ Jody
