Thank's Robin and Jody
By John Ryan

Hi Jody and thank's to you Robin for introducing me to this forum
when I rang you to find out about subscribing to A.M.I.C.A. which I did
6 Months ago.

Because of your introduction Robin, a friend of mine Bil Rylett, who
has a Steinway Welte Green and Licensee will now keep his reproducer.
He was able through Jody's forum to acquire 60 rolls when I put a
request for rolls as they are unattainable down here in OZ.

Also my Weber Duo Art always played to loud but has a superb tone.
The previous owners John Semmens, Harold Ball and Bill Rylett would
all, I think agree with this assumption. When everything else fails, as
the story goes, read the instructions [ Michael L Kitner ] and he is
dead right.

New centre pins and bushes and the action regulated, the spill valve
spring was not attached thus floating all over the place, out with
the accordions and reset a fraction under factory specs, new theme and
accompaniment springs just slightly stronger than the originals. I
don't use a test roll for the setting of zero levels. I just let my EAR
tell me what is right with the music I am familiar with. Accompaniment
5 inches and Theme 5 1/4 inches, and not an inch apart as suggested.
The stack has been retubed 8 years ago but the stack pneumatics are
still original and repetition excellent. Not bad for 1919 It just shows
the quality of materials used in those days. All the other
pneumatics sustain accordions etc, have been renewed over the years by
the previous owners mentioned

The result a superb reproducing instrument that to my EAR gives me
and others a great deal of pleasure... And that what it's all about.

So there we are Robin and Jody, THANK's, and let us ALL still stay
in touch..... Your's John.
