MIDI Music for Player Banjo
By Robbie Rhodes

I especially enjoy the music of Harry Reser, the American virtuoso
banjoist and arranger, and when I learned of Dave Ramey's new
Banjorchestra I eagerly created a few song files featuring the
"novelties" composed by Reser. Unfortunately, the Encore banjo
mechanism isn't yet capable of such speedy picking, and so my
arrangements must wait for the next-generation instrument.

A Midi file is attached to this message which Jody can place in the MMD
Music Archive. The song is "Goofus". ("I was born on a farm down in
I-o-way, ....!") You will need to manually set the Midi instruments
for the best banjo and piano sounds with your specific synthesizer.
(Jody, could you maybe do this for me with your SoundBlaster?)

[ I'll put the MIDI file out as:
 [
 [ ftp://ftp.foxtail.com/pub/mechanical-music/misc/goofus.zip
 [
[ I'll add a short readme. Look for it in a couple of days.
