Hello all,

My name is Chris Zenchenko.  I live in Evansville Wisconsin.  Among my
many interests is music.  Music played on players, computers, stereos,
just about anything that will make noise.

I have a collection of over 40,000 records, 17,000 radio programs,
4,000 cds, 2,000 video tapes, thousands of computer disks filled with
0s and 1s, and even a few 88 note piano rolls.

I am a ham radio operator, WB9RSQ.  I have a large collection of O-gauge
trains and accessories.

I do a once a month C&W show for a small local radio station and supply
Wisconsin Public Radio with most of the oldtime radio they air on
Sunday evenings.  I do a 90 minute show featuring oldtime radio that
plays once a day for two week periods on Yesterday USA, a satellite
subcarrier radio station.

I also when not at my day job for the State of Wisconsin run a small
computer and recording business.

I re-master old tapes from several two, three, four, and eight track
formats on to recordable cds.

I beta test screen reading software for Windows and Dos and have also
done limited testing of DART, Digital Audio Restoration Technology, a
program for cleaning noise from computer audio files.  A friend of mine
rebuilds players and after hearing a 1926 Walthum he finished I had to
have it.  I can't play a note myself, but can at least load and run a
roll.

My record collection specializes in old c&w, but of course for MIDI and
rolls another choice would be more practical.

My special interest is in the music of the teens and twenties.  Not the
ragtime, but the popular music of the time such as the great parlor,
operetta, waltz types.  Tangos and light classics on record or from the
player in the corner provide enjoyment and a break from todays "hot
country", "ten in a row" garbage radio formats.
