I've had good success with the lead tubing offered by Player Piano Co.
for the standard 5/32".  You might also want to talk to Durrell
Armstrong -- the company that sells him the smaller size might also
have larger.  There used to be a comapny in Los Angeles,  Ducommun
Metal Supply, that I found some hard-to-find stock from in various
metic sizes.  They may still be in business or have some leftover
stock...  The tempered brass tubing sounds like a wonderful,  practical
and non-poisonous idea.
