Introduction
By Bill Elfstrom

Thanks to all who have responded to my search for band organ music on CD.
I've already learned a great deal by subscribing to the mailing list and
have really enjoyed the different discussions.

A brief introduction: My name is Bill Elfstrom and I'm a fan of band
organs, nickelodeons and most any antique mechanical music makers. I
guess my first "mechanical" concert was listening to the huge band organ
in the Penny Arcade at Disneyland many, many years ago. Ever since then
I've loved the music. When a band organ plays you just can't ignore it!
When I was a kid my father was briefly interested in restoring upright
pianos and one day bought a player to repair. Unfortunately he moved on
to other interests but it did give me some insight as to how player pianos
work.

These days I'm just a listener. Some of my other interests include early
Disneyland and the 1939 New York World's Fair.

Cheers, Bill Elfstrom
