Underside Cover For Reproducing Grand
By Charles Flaum

Yes we can. The material would be synthetic leather (better than nauga-
hyde) on the outside with a felt backing on the inside. Instead of snaps
there would be Velcro sewn all around and you (the customer) would put the
other part of the Velcro with a sticky backing around the bottom of the
rim. If you wanted to you could always reinforce the sticky backing with
rug nails.

I've seen the original ones you're talking about and I think this might
be better. I always noticed the material near the snaps ripping. With
Velcro all the way around the tension on the material would be equalized.
Plus, when the edge crosses under the beams you could stick the velcro
wherever.

You would have to supply us with a template. Tack a large piece of brown
artist's paper to the bottom and then either cut it or draw the outline.

It would come in either black, brown or white. Price would probably be
around $190 depending upon size, plus shipping and handling.

[ Hmmm, I like the idea of Velcro instead of snaps. I wonder where else
[ we might use Velcro? Thanks for sharing your method. -- Robbie
