Hi all!  If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows 95 or
Windows NT you should be aware that the released versions contain
*serious* security bugs.  Note that these do not affect "IE" on either
Windows 3.1 systems nor the Macintosh versions, only  Win95 and NT,
because of the tight linking of "IE" with these operating systems.

These bugs make it possible for deviant web page authors to do nasty
things to your hard drive!  They enable web site operators to swipe files
from your hard drive and even delete files and folders.

No Kidding -- this is NOT a joke!  Microsoft has released patches for the
three known bugs, but there may be more.  For the latest information and
down-loadable patches for your system see:

There are also reported problems with Microsoft's "Active-X" technology,
which are not clearly known at present.  My advice is to stay away from
Internet Explorer and Active-X for a while, at least until all the
problems have been uncovered.  Please be careful!
