Computer Virus
By Meta Brown

Rick, how do you know what virus you have? The same software that
detects viruses can often remove them. If not, there are several brands
of commercial software available for virus removal. Windows 3.1 even
came with a built in utility for this, but I am not aware of such a
utility in Win95.

 [ Editors note:
 [
[ Rick Cooley wrote us that his son plans to boot the computer from a
[ separate floppy-disc system, and then "sneak up on the 'Form Virus'
[ from behind and kill it with the latest IBM antivirus diskette." So
[ I guess it's known as the "Form Virus," which attacks the operating
 [ system boot-up procedures.
 [
[ Thanks to Meta Brown and the others who wrote offering help.
[ Although these are computer problems and not mechanical music, we
[ have experts right here within MMD who are happy to help, and a brief
[ discussion in the Digest will warn our members of hazards like this.
