MIDI File Player Program for Laptop Computer
By Wayne Finger

In response to Jerry Vitale asking about MIDI over Bluetooth [161117
MMDigest], I regularly use an iPad to play a Mills Violano Virtuoso
with "Sweet MIDI Player" and a WiFi sender-reviewer unit named "WIDI".
It works well.

I also use Sweet MIDI Player with an iPad and a Bluetooth receiver
named "Puc+" to play a PianoDisc piano. Bluetooth setups don't seem
to be reliable enough to use in all circumstances. The Puc+ plays the
piano just fine and it sounds great, but it would occasionally miss a
signal and leave a ciphering violin note when I tried it in the violin.
That's why I use it on the piano, but not the violin.

I helped install a MIDI system on a piano last weekend. The owner was
using the "Vanbasco MIDI player" with an Android tablet PC hardwired
to the piano. That system worked fine and played well.

I suspect that there are several MIDI players which will work for you.
Your challenge may be to get a Bluetooth receiving unit that can keep
up with all the signals and not lose any of them.
