Mechanical Music in the Movies
By Don Teach

There was a movie with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor that had the opening
scene with a taxi driver taking a pair of pliers to one of the stars to
get his money. The cab driver bounced the star up against a big
Wurlitzer C type orchestrion. I don't remember much else about the
movie.

"McCabe and Miss Miller" had a Seeburg Junior in the bar scene, and
The Al Capone story had a Seeburg J in one scene. I don't remember which
one of the Capone movies it was in.
