Silicone Grease
By Allan Merralls

The discussion about silicone grease and silicone rubber made my ears
perk up. My experience with silicones other than the rubber is that the
chemical tends to spread, and it is quite slippery. In common
applications sticky glue joints tend to get less sticky.

Hide glue is a different thing, and maybe silicone grease wouldn't have
an effect. Try handling silicone and note how your hands feel.

Cheers, Allan
