Valve Facings of Silicone Rubber

With valve seats where the valve plate is metal, or similar, I have
been using silicone rubber for the valve material, which for all
purpose is timeless.  So long as the valve plates are without bumps
or other imperfections, the seal is absolute.  I'm able to machine
punches for my various projects.
