Wicks "Direct Electric" Valves
By Gary Stevenson

For the record, "Direct Electric" is a trade-marked name issued to the
Wicks Organ Company, of Highland, Illinois, for their pipe organ valves.
These valves can be gotten from them directly from them. Contact Wicks'
national sales director, Jack Jenkins at 1-800-444-WICK.

Tell my friend Jack I sent you and that you want to use their valves in
your band organ project. He, too, loves band organs and is open to
nearly all organ related projects. I have been to the plant in Highland
and seen how these valves are made. They are well-constructed and will
give years of trouble free operation.

Jack and I have been to several organ rallies, and I have on many
occasions heard him play. He is a wonderful organist and has a large
organ installed in his Victorian home.

[ I don't know which came first: the generic use of "direct electric", or
[ Wicks' trademark. I any event, I hope that Jack Jenkins smiles when
[ he hears their trademark used as a generic expression within MMDigest.
