Databases for Roll Collections
By Bob Billings

In personal correspondence with Paul Johnson he brought up the problem of
listing titles with multiple sub-titles, such as medleys. He wanted to
group the sub-titles together with the main title, with the main title
first and the sub-titles following.

We have a relatively simple solution we use. We add a field to each
entry, coding it as a main or sub-title. The roll number is the same
for both main and sub-title. When you sort, the first level is by roll
number, then by this additional field. This produces the desired result.

We also enhance things a bit by listing the main title in the "COMPOSER"
filed of the sub-title, and for printout purposes the main title is all
caps and the sub-title uses lower case.
