Turbine vs. Roots Blower for Air Calliope

Best to my knowledge Dave Miner only has electric turbine blowers.
These would require a generator if you want to use it as a *real*
outdoor calliope.  In my experience, not unlike player piano vacuum
boxes, these things are not as efficient nor does it seem as esthetically
authentic as a calliope should be.  Personally I would much rather go
the extra mile, be it a long one, and construct a real calliope wagon
with a built-in Roots-type blower as the original calliopes had.
