Mystery Roll in RealAudio
By Gabe Della Fave

Perhaps someone can help me with a mystery. I just purchased a
collection of 120 old rolls. There is one roll I enjoy quite a bit,
but have no clue as to the title, composer, roll publisher, etc.

Here is the "mystery roll." It's different to say the least! At
4:55.0, listen for a radical change. After listening to it several
more times today, I am thinking it is from a Broadway show from the
1929-1932 time frame. Also, it came in a box which reads "5682 /
Raymond Overture / The Juelg Co. Washington New York Baltimore /
Thomas". The label is black with white lettering -- late 1920s design.
But many years ago this label was scratched out with pen which has
faded but the label hasn't.

There is nothing on the roll itself that gives even a clue as to who
made it or what the title is. It is a regular 88-note roll with no
special coding. The file is in Real Audio 5.0 format at

If anyone has a clue as to what this roll could be, the information
will be much appreciated.

Thank you,
