Restoring Ampico B Inlaid Drawer Panel
By Bill Boulton

We are restoring a Ampico B system here at our shop and the bass end
drawer panel has lost it's veneer due to water damage. The wood rotted
and fell out over the years, leaving just the brass base.

My questions to you all are, has anyone ever properly restored a panel?
Am I correct that it looks like very thin veneer pressed into it? Any
suggestions will be appreciated.

Regards,

Bill Boulton
