Vacuum Cleaner vs. Tracker Bar Pump

The only damage that you could possibly do (in my opinion) is to suck
the pouches out, which would only happen if the seal between the vacuum
cleaner hose and tracker bar were particularly tight OR if the pouches
were very dry and ready to fail anyway. At worst (once again, in my
opinion), you would shorten their already-short life.

I've been vacuuming the tracker bar of my 1912 Knabe/Autopiano for 25
years, and it is still playing on its original 1912 pouches.
