Vacuum Pump For Reproduco Piano-organ
By Doug Bullock

[ Ref. Jack Conway in 240309 MMD ]

The external blower enclosure for my best working Reproduco had a PPCo
suction box that someone added which was louder than the [original]
rotary box pump was. But the original motor which still runs the pipe
blower has a double-ended shaft, and on the end opposite the blower
is a pulley attached to nothing.

This tells me that originally this blower enclosure had a rotary pump
mounted next to the turbine positive pressure blower. There is also
room for that.

I will restore one of my spare rotary pumps and hook it up as was
original when I finish restoration on the instrument. I probably have
a pump you could use in this way if your blower motor has the pulley
for it.
