Reroll Problem With Automatic Kit
By Jeff Davis

The reroll pneumatic system is basically just a simple lever. The
hinge is the fulcrum. The pneumatic is the force, and weight is the
drag of the transmission and all the linkage. What is critical is that
the force-times-distance (the lever arm from the fulcrum) has to be
greater than the weight-times-distance. In this case, as much greater
as possible.

What I often try to do is use stock aluminum and mount the pneumatic
upside down and backwards. Then I have my connection running off the
hinge end and get it as close to the hinge as possible, given the room
for fitting.

Make sure you have a direct connection to the transmission linkage.
If you have just a bar pushing on one of the pivoting rods, you will
have sliding where they connect. Sliding is wasted effort and loss of
efficiency.

I agree with everyone that the kit is often a big headache, but it
usually can be made to work.
