Making Wound Bass Strings for the Piano
By Bill Mintz

Carl Meyer asked about the ins and outs of winding bass strings [000109
MMD]. I know this is a complicated, touchy proposition, having worked
on machines for custom winding strings to order. The name of Pacific
Piano Supply Co. in California comes to mind on this subject. They
would be very able and willing to help out with Carl's (and other's)
questions. I can't locate their email address right now, but their
phone number is 818-779-1586, and fax is 818-779-1354.

Regards and best wishes to all for the new year,

Bill Mintz
