Variable Speed Music Box

My 1905 15.5 inch Regina, short bed plate disc box, has a governor
that controls the disc speed.  A speed control lever protrudes near
the on/off lever.  It _is_ useful if one cares to dance to the music
box.  Anyone else have a variable speed Regina?
