Griesbaum Whistlers
By Joerg Wendel

Robbie, you are right, we still make the whistlers. They are still
hand-carved, and the movements we make also fit into the old whistlers.
We have some of them at our homepage at: http://www.musicboxworld.de/

Greetings from the romantic part of the Rhine

[ This description is given at http://www.musicboxworld.de/ :
 [
[ "The whistlers, hand-carved wooden figures with a mechanical
[ whistling movement, were formerly manufactured by the Griesbaum
[ firm in the Black Forest. After switching it 'on' the head moves
[ and the figure whistles a melody. We are today the only
[ manufacturer in the world maintaining this old Black Forest
 [ tradition."
