RTV for Leather Pouch Sealant

Pete Knobloch wrote that RTV " ... is the stuff that cures in air and
is said to have a 50-year durability guarantee."

Which type of RTV did you use, the alcohol base, or acetic acid based
stuff?  What did you use as a thinner?  Sigh, I've been debating which
sealer to use, and can't make a decision.
