Juelg Music Rolls
By Richard Vance

Juelg was an independent maker of rolls in the early part of the 20th
century. I have several 58-note, six-to-the-inch organ rolls made by
Juelg.

I doubt if the references on the label to Washington, Baltimore, and
New York refer to three factory locations, but rather referred to sales
offices or agencies.  Or perhaps they're just pure hype to look big;
you know that roll makers were not known for absolute veracity.

I think the label style I have is definitely much earlier than "late
1920s". Several early independent makers of cheap 65- and 58-note
rolls used the white-on-black format. Only the roll number, the title
in a shortened form, and the composer, are printed in the white
oblongs.
