Price Paid for United States Music Co. Catalog
By Robbie Rhodes

Terry Smythe reports that a 92-page 1924 piano roll catalog
fetched $152.50 at eBay auction, following a spirited bidding
battle in the 30 seconds before the auction closed. See

Photo images of the first few pages show the different names
used by the company. The cover page says "General Catalog
Volume X, October 1924, United States Music Co." The logo says,
"U.S. - The best player music rolls."

The introduction begins, "U. S. Rolls not only provide faithful
and melodious reproduction of musical scores, but perfect technique.
Only the interpretation is left to the player pianist."
