Credit Cards for Foreign Payments
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, In answer to Karl Ellison's questions: "But what about
credit card payment? Does Visa/MasterCard ever charge conversion fees?
Are conversion fees dependent on the issuing bank?"

I have a number of customers around the world who pay for their orders
using Visa, MasterCard or Discover and none of them has ever mentioned
any conversion fees. However, it's my understanding that the customer
is charged the going exchange rate on the day the order is processed,
and not some arbitrary fixed rate. So, the true cost of the merchandise
does vary from day to day, as does the exchange rate.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
