Albert W. Ketelbey
By Terry Smythe

Robbie commented, "On the sheet music the composer's name is Ketelby,
with two e's."

Within my mother's collection of sheet music, there are four by Albert
W, Ketelbey, all spelt with three e's, the middle e with an accent.
Three of them carry a rubber stamp reproduction of his signature, also
with three e's. It is interesting to note that his signature does not
include the accent over the middle e. All four items were published
in the 1920's/30's era:

  Sunbeams and Butterflies
  In a Persian Market
  In a Monastery Garden
  Sanctuary of the Heart

Page last of each carry promotional snippets of six other of his
compositions, all with his name spelled with three e's.
